    Scandlines Terminal Rødby

    Scandlines Terminal Rostock

    Zum Fährterminal 1, 18147 Rostock, Germany. Use the motorway A19 towards Rostock, exit Rostock Überseehafen.

    Scandlines Terminal Gedser 

    Jernbanevejen 1, 4874 Gedser, Denmark. The check-in is located directly at the end of road E55.

    Øresund Bridge toll station

    The toll station is located at the Swedish side of the bridge.

    Check-in offices Puttgarden and  Rødby

    The check-in offices are open 24/7.

    All units must be checked in and ready for loading at the terminal 15 minutes before scheduled departure at the latest (60 minutes for pre-booked dangerous goods and oversize transports).

    Drivers are generally obliged to carry valid travel documents and if necessary also visas.

     

    The freight check-in offices in Rostock and Gedser are open as follows:

    Check-in office Rostock

    Monday to Friday 24/7 / Saturday 00:00-22:30 / Sunday 05:00-24:00

    Check-in  office Gedser

    Monday to Friday 06:00-02:00 / Saturday 06:00-22:30 / Saturday 06:00-04:00

    All units must be checked in and ready for loading at the terminal 15 minutes before scheduled departure at the latest (60 minutes for pre-booked dangerous goods and oversize transports).

    Toll station Øresund Bridge

    When arriving at the toll station, it is mandatory, that the driver uses the yellow lane (manual check-in) to enter the booking number (iTicket-no.) provided by Scandlines.

    Before entering the toll station the driver has to ensure that any active Bizz is placed in a folio bag to avoid that the maut is paid automatically. Our company does not refund payments caused by using a wrong lane (e.g. Bizz, full service or credit cards).

    All types of trucks, vans and other self-driving cargo can be shipped on these transit routes.

    Please note that trailers and other unaccompanied cargo units can't be shipped due to short port berth times of the vessels.

    Dangerous goods transports must be booked manually with the Scandlines booking department. Registration of Dangerous goods 24 hours prior to departure at the latest.

     

    Puttgarden-Rødby v.v.

    Transports of class 1 only possible Monday to Friday 06:15 from Rødby and Monday to Friday 10:15 from Puttgarden.

    No shipment of following classes/ UN numbers:

    • no transport of class 1
    • 4.2 - UN1383, 3394 (shipment on selected departures Rostock-Gedser v.v. possible)
    • 5.2 - UN3105, 3106, 3107, 3108, 3109, 3110, 3113, 3119 (shipment on selected departures Rostock-Gedser v.v. possible)

    Various dangerous goods classes can also be shipped on all other departures.

    Rostock-Gedser v.v.

    The transport of dangerous goods is basically possible on all departures. Shipment of classes requiring passenger limitation is possible on selected departures and after coordination with our freight booking department only.

    Øresund Bridge

    Hazardous goods can be transported across the Øresund Bridge, however, certain restrictions are in force for the passage of Øresund tunnel section. The following 2 tunnel categories apply to the Öresund Tunnel:

    During the period 06.00 am – 07.00 pm every day: Category D

    During the period 07.00 pm – 06.00 am every day: Category B

    Tunnel category D implies a restriction (prohibition) on dangerous goods which could result in a major explosion, an explosion, a comprehensive poison spill or a comprehensive fire. See the provisions of ADR, Part 8, section 8.6.

    Tunnel category B implies a restriction (prohibition) on dangerous goods which could result in a major explosion. See the provisions of ADR, Part 8, section 8.6.

    Tunnel restrictions shall not apply when dangerous goods are carried in accordance with ADR, Section 1.1.3 about exceptions.

    Please note that a completed and signed container/vehicle packing certificate in accordance with IMDG-CODE 5.4.2 is always required for sea transport.

    This document must be presented at the latest at check-in at the port of departure.

    In case of electronically executed dangerous goods documents, the name of the person responsible (in capital letters) replaces the signature.

    The container/vehicle packing certificate is not required if all dangerous goods are transported in limited quantities only (LQ) or if transported in a tank unit.
