We'd like to inform further about the potential, considerable increase of BAF as from August based on the new MARPOL regulation requiring a limit of max. 1% sulphur for fuel to be used in Sulphur Emission Control Areas (SECA) at the Baltic Sea (down from 1.5%). The regulation comes into force on 01 July 2010 and may lead to a considerably higher demand of this specific fuel with the resp. consequences for market prices.
